Mobilier National

The ‘Made in Situ’ exhibition at the Mobilier National presents, for the first time, the entirety of the project that designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance has been developing for nearly seven years. It takes over the entire space of the Galerie des Gobelins at the Mobilier National, offering a journey through the successive multisensory worlds unique to each of the ‘Made in Situ’ collections.
The exhibition offers an experience of design not merely as form, but as a sensory narrative: a creative journey nourished by exchange, observation and listening, bringing forth new forms rooted as much in their geographical context as in their era.

“I sometimes think that the ‘situated design’ embodied by Made in Situ is a rediscovery of design, rooted in the joy of creating with others, using materials gathered during a walk, to express the beauty of a place where we paused for a while and wished we could never leave.”
