Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance and Made in Situ welcome Nicolas Verschaeve
with his collection of glass objects Sillages.
For Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, welcoming Sillages in Paris is a further affirmation of the strength of ‘situated’ design, in other words, design that is inscribed and contextualised, whose practice is not only rooted in a given territory but is developed in close collaboration with the local inhabitants. The exhibition also pays tribute to nomad designers and to the encounter with Nicolas Verschaeve. The pieces we have chosen to display here illustrate with a powerful intensity the rich interplay of intention and application of design and production.
